September is Pain Awareness Month

Are you struggling with chronic pain? When our bodies are not functioning at an optimal level, this can effect all areas of our life, and it can be a challenge just to get through each day. This is why across the nation, Septmeber is being decalres a month to raise awareness about pain and pain management.

Understanding more about the underlying causes of pain can help improve treatments and alleviate suffering. Dr. Komro at Affinity Chiropractic is working with patients every day to determine the root cause of their pain and help them find relief naturally.

Here's what you need to know:

  • Nearly 100 million Americans experience chronic pain -- more than those who have diabetes, heart disease and cancer combined.

  • Pain is a warning sign that indicates a problem that needs attention. Dr. Komro will take the time to thouroughly investigate what could be causing your pain, and work closely with you to fix that underlying issue.

  • Pain starts in receptor nerve cells located beneath the skin and in organs throughout the body.

  • Living with pain can be debilitating and adversely affect everyday life.

The key to raising awareness is to get involved, and the best way to do this is by taking care of yourself! Take time out for yourself this month -- relax at home, go for a run outside, or take an afternoon to visit us and talk about how Dr. Komro can create you a personalized plan for a healthier, pain-free life.
