CONDITIONS WE HELP TREAT

Acid Relux, Stomach Pain

Dr. Michael Komro a renowned Hopkins Chiropractor is recognized as one of the the world’s leading natural Chiropractic expert in correcting what he has found to be the underlying cause of Hiatal Hernia. This occurs when part of your stomach pushes upward through your diaphragm. Your diaphragm normally has a small opening through which your food esophagus passes on its way to connect to your stomach. The stomach can push up through this opening and cause a hiatal hernia.

This along with acid reflux is caused by Too Little acid not too much. We have known since 1969 that the too little acid causes a decrease in esphaogeal spincter pressure which allows the hiatel opening to weaken.

In our office we provide Food intolerances testing and the top 3 foods that can trigger or worsen a hiateal hernia are:

-Sugar

- Coffee

-Alcohol

Chiropractic Treatment for Hiatal Hernia

Initial chiropractic treatment involves determining if there is any structural deviations of the thoracic spine vertebrae and/or rib cage misalignment that can adversely affect the function of the nerves in the thoracic spine region that supplies the diaphragm, esophagus and/or stomach region via the sympathetic nerves that exit the thoracic spine region which is part of the autonomic nervous system that’s being impeded by the Vertebral Subluxation. If Dr. Komro finds any Vertebral Subluxations in the thoracic spine region with the rib cage causing nerve interference in the celiac plexus (stomach), he will plan for chiropractic care that will correct, remove or manage the nerve interference or remove any nerve impedance. There are specific chiropractic maneuvers that Dr. Komro uses to manually pull the herniated stomach back to its normal location.

Through holistic, gentle and non-invasive chiropractic care, patients can avoid the costly and risky surgical intervention and medications that only provides temporary pain relief without addressing the cause of Hiatal Hernia.
